George is a recognized global technology senior executive with extensive experience in global business management, Cloud technology ecosystem, Technology and professional services and Telecom operators’ environment.  He is known for blending strategic vision and operational execution with a proven track record in developing and implementing strategies for growth and business performance improvement delivering significant value creation to shareholders.  He has proven experience in running large organizations and at the same time founding technology and cloud businesses by building high performing organizations from scratch and driving fast revenue growth to unicorn status.  George is also a transformational leader, having led numerous large programs and global organizations with complex businesses including products, solutions, and services portfolio serving a diverse and global customer base. 

George is currently the Global Vice President of the Telecom, Media & Entertainment, and Gaming industries at Google Cloud. When he joined Google in 2020, he set a new vision and strategy, built a high performing team from scratch, led the development of a portfolio of cloud Products and Solutions, and developed the go-to-market strategy and plan across the four regions of NA, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. 

Prior to Google, George served as the Senior Managing Director of the Communication & Media industries at Accenture with $5.2Bn of revenues.  During his tenure, he defined a portfolio of new solution offerings, developed country focused go-to-market strategy, and engaged customers in concert with the sales team across the four regions.

Prior to Accenture, George served as the Executive Vice President of Alcatel-Lucent and President of Global Customer Delivery (GCD) with EUR 7Bn of revenues, complex portfolio of products, solutions, and services, managing a workforce of more than 40,000 professionals. The GCD unit served all customers (Carrier, Enterprise and Strategic Industries) and delivered Alcatel-Lucent's entire portfolio of products, solutions and services.  George was a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Management Committee Board and served as the group Chief Quality Officer. 

Prior to Alcatel-Lucent, George was with British Telecom (BT) group serving as the President of Networks and Cloud Computing Infrastructure globally.  George led the entire 21st Century Network transformation program (21CN) with a budget in excess of $15Bn by remaking the portfolio, enhancing the customer experience, and building the next generation Network and OSS/BSS.  Prior to this at BT, he was the Global Services CTO and Global VP of Networks responsible for the design and deployment of BT’s Global IP/MPLS network across 170 countries.

Previously, George held executive and leadership positions with WorldCom and Level 3 in areas including network development and planning, and led the integration of many of their acquisitions, and held a variety of senior engineering and planning roles. George also founded a Consulting firm and a CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier) in the US in 1998, targeting small-to-medium size businesses to support them in optimizing their networks and reducing their costs.

George received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from Tulsa University in 1992.  George is married to Dr. Becca Nazi and has 3 children.  They have been living in Brussels, Belgium since 2004.  George is the Chairman of the board of Trustees at the International School of Brussels (ISB).  He also serves on the board of an investment firm Berytech and previously served on the board of the NGO Mothers’ at Risk.
