George Mulhern

Speaker Bio

George Mulhern has been Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions at Ericsson since June 2022. Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions, comprising the current Cradlepoint business and Dedicated Networks, includes a go-to-market organization for enterprise customers.

In 2011 Mulhern was appointed CEO and Chairman of the board at Cradlepoint, which Ericsson acquired in November 2020. He led the company’s transformation from a consumer hardware company to a global leader in cloud-delivered 4G and 5G wireless network edge solutions for businesses and government agencies worldwide.

Prior to joining Cradlepoint, Mulhern was a general partner at Highway 12 Ventures, a venture capital firm making investments in early-stage technology companies in the western U.S. He began his career in technology with Hewlett Packard Company, where he was responsible for hardware, software, and services businesses. Mulhern eventually became a Senior Vice President at HP, leading the LaserJet Global Business Unit. 

Mulhern currently serves on the board of directors for Regence Blue Shield of Idaho and Cambia Health Solutions. He has also served on the Idaho Governor’s Science and Technology Advisory Board and the Idaho Cybersecurity Task Force.

Mulhern earned bachelor of science and master of business administration degrees from San Jose State University, where he attended on a tennis scholarship.
