Dr. Potenti is colorectal surgeon serving as the Chief Medical Operating Officer at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
He completed is general surgery training at Brown University and a colorectal fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Dr. Potenti returned to Brown University on an academic track and rose to the level of Associate Professor.
In 2004, He returned to Cleveland Clinic Florida and in 2011 obtained an MBA from Florida Atlantic University focusing on health care management, operations, and project management.
Dr. Potenti is a member and fellow of many prestigious societies, including the American Society of Colorectal Surgery and the American Society of Surgery. He is currently a member of the quality committee and has served for two terms in the socioeconomic committee of the ASCRS.
His areas of interest include continuous improvement in healthcare operation, total quality management in healthcare, and the application of service management approach models to the improvement of patient satisfaction.
Dr. Potenti is dedicated to Medical Students education; he holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University and is the director for the surgical clerkship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
