Entrepreneur and Investor. Ernest Sanchez is currently Managing Partner at Nuclio HOLDING and Founding Partner and Venture Partner at Encomenda Capital Partners (formerly Nekko Capital).


 


During his first professional stage, Ernest was co-founder at S2AGroup, a group of technology start-up companies specialised in consulting, engineering, sales and integration of telecommunications services. Subsequently, he was co-founder and CEO at BeOne Telecom, a telecommunications operator focused on small and medium sized enterprises (SaaS). Afterwards he was a Partner at Active Management Ltd., a consulting and management company, developing valuation, operational and business improvement tasks. Leading global M&A projects.


 


In 2014, he started his career as a professional investor, becoming EU Partner at Entrée Capital, a VC based in London and Tel Aviv, focusing on Seed, Series A and Series B, with more than 40 investments in portfolio and €300M AUM. Leading Fintech investments he was responsible for the development, among others, of Zapper.com, a Fintech company offering a mobile payments solution, with a presence in 10 countries. Ernest was responsible for the launch of the company, first in London and then in Spain. At that stage, he was an investor in Glovo, Stash, Gusto, Gastrofix, Monday among others.


 


In 2017 he founded Nekko Capital, in London, Madrid and Barcelona (today Encomenda Capital Partners), where he leads the investment fund Palladium Corporate Ventures and is responsible for investments such as Curve, Exotica, Inflight, Essencialist, and positions in the IDC Ventures fund. In 2020, he launched the investment fund N Ventures 1, aimed at investing in companies in the Nuclio ecosystem.


 


Since September 2020, Ernest joins Nuclio as Managing Partner, where he has co-founded 11 companies including Kintai, Games 4 a Living, Minicoders, Profe.com, Nuclio Talent and Nuclio Labs. He serves as a member of the board of directors in all of them in addition to Housfy and Nuclio Digital School.


 


Ernest holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona, a Master in Telecom Business Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, AvMP from Stanford University and Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School.
