With a career leading strategic and integrated marketing within telecoms and tech industries, Erich Hermanns joined the GSMA in 2008 to lead the marketing launch of the first GSMA Mobile Money event in Cairo, Egypt. Since then, Erich has played a strategic role in the MWC series of global events developing and launching products that include the sponsorship and media partnership program, the tours program and the Custom Experiences product, all of which have become mainstays of the MWC portfolio. Currently, Erich is Head of Events for MWC Shanghai and the North American event, recently relocating the event to Las Vegas, Nevada. To date, Erich has participated and attended more than 13 MWCs in Barcelona and is a wealth of knowledge of the history and growth of the event.
