Speaker Bio

Dr. Abeer Shakweer is the Assistant Resident Representative and the Inclusive Growth and Innovation team leader at UNDP Egypt. She is responsible for digital transformation, SMEs and entrepreneurship, innovation, and governance. She holds a Ph.D., in Environmental Engineering and has more than 20 years of experience in ICT, Technology Transfer and Innovation with national and international organizations. Among other roles, she has served as the advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Communication and Information Technology and was the Founding Executive Director of the National ICT Academy for Persons with Disabilities.
