Speaker Bio

As UST’s blockchain practice leader, Daniel is responsible for sales, strategy and delivery of the company’s blockchain, metaverse and web3.0 projects. Working in an innovative emerging field his role requires keeping pace with the developments in the technology and the market applications which range from new payment and banking models and CBDCs to logistics and operations applications and the role of decentralised digital assets underpinning the coming metaverse. In addition, Daniel is leading UST’s entry into collaborative R&D and innovation projects financed through the European Commission, collaborating with universities, SMEs and industrial clients across the EU.

 

Daniel’s career has been centred on the development of markets and business applications for emerging technology. He researched new business models in the early cloud market and has held research, innovation consultancy, management and sales roles for technologies including IoT, Industry 4.0 and smart cities. Prior to joining UST he founded a blockchain practice at Atos. Other career highlights include working with ISO on behalf of the European Commission to develop standards for the cloud computing industry and successfully establishing several teams dedicated to delivering new niche services.  He holds a BSc (Hons) from Imperial College
