Christophe DIGNE is deputy director general of the Agence nationale des fréquences since September 2020. He has been interested in digital development and innovation throughout his career. A graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and Télécom Paris, he first focused on the development of digital technology as a factor of competitiveness, at the General Directorate for Customs and Excise, at the time of the opening of the European Single Market. Afterwards, he joined the General Directorate for Industry, within the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, to work on economy and regulations, as well as incentives for innovation in the digital sector. He then led the strategy and financial affairs of the Institut Télécom before returning to the Ministry of the Economy, to help reform its senior technical staff and, later, to steer the grouping of the Ministry's Grandes Ecoles. Finally, he was Director of Télécom SudParis from 2013 to 2020, where he was involved in the creation of Université Paris Saclay and Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
