Christian Thrane is the Managing Director of Marketing in BT’s Consumer business across BT, EE and Plusnet.
Christian is passionate about customers. Since joining BT/EE three years ago, he has been an integrated part of the modernisation and transformation of BT’s Consumer business while delivering growth and significant improvement in customer satisfaction.
Christian leads the Marketing division across Products, Propositions, Partnerships, Brand & Marcomms, and Base Management. Christian always takes a data driven and personalised approach to serving BT/EE’s customers in every second household in the UK.
Before joining BT, Christian spent 15 years in Telenor Group in various commercial leadership roles across three countries. Most recently as CMO and Head of the Consumer Division of Telenor Sweden where he led the business through significant simplification and transformation. Before joining Telenor, Christian spent the first 5 years of his career in strategy consulting with IBM’s consulting services business.
Christian has an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School. Christian is also a fellow of the Marketing Academy.
