Aleix Casals oversees strategic partnerships at AWS Startups, focusing on Seed Venture Capital firms in Spain. He supports startups with fundraising, strategy, and going to market. In addition, he is a mentor at Gate93, an investment fund targeting successful early-stage European and Latin American companies, and an advisor and Angel investor in several startups.
Aleix has spent 15 years in the tech sector. He was an early employee at Twitter, doing several roles, mainly in the revenue organization. During college, he set up his first company in the travel industry (€1M revenue); after selling his first start-up, he joined Adman Media (ADTech sold to Acuity Ads).
Aleix holds a degree in Business Administration from Universitat Ramon Llull, specializing in entrepreneurship from Marquette University (US). In addition, he has an Executive Education from the Wharton Business School.
