IoT solutions need to adapt to various use cases, including smart parking, asset tracking, construction equipment monitoring, intelligent wearables. These share three main challenges, which are also affected by transport packet quantity and length: limited battery life, growing over-the-air traffic, and remote connectivity. This session dives deep into a solution from 1NCE IoT Connectivity Suite that allows users to send messages via CoAP or UDP, converted to MQTT, for further elaboration within AWS IoT. 1NCE’s goal is to understand the real impact on device energy consumption and data usage over cellular links, compared to MQTT. Explore the optimization potential for device performances using the most recent IoT access technologies, LTE-M and NB-IoT, combined with the 1NCE IoT Connectivity Suite.
