SPECIALIST WORKSHOP on Circular Economy for Network Equipment
Wed, 2 Mar: 15:00 - 15:45 CET
MyMWC Online, Hall Virtual
As part the ambition set by the GSMA board in 2019 to be net zero by 2050, the GSMA has been working with a group of 21 mobile network operators to examines how network equipment used within the mobile ecosystem can evolve towards circularity.
The concept of a circular economy shows a way to reutilise products, parts, components, and materials in successive production cycles to reduce waste and pollution. The work of the group examined the benefits of stakeholder cooperation along the whole of the value chain. And how the shift towards greater circularity aims to reduce negative environmental impacts while realising social and economic benefits.
In this session industry experts will explore:
•the concept of a circular economy
•the benefits of stakeholder cooperation along the whole of the value chain
