In the past few years we’ve been witnessing growing interest from the world’s leading VCs and CVCs in European startups. This has very much been the case for some of the biggest American VCs that have lately decided to bet big on Europe and announced the opening of European offices and the hiring of new partners from the European venture capital landscape.
This panel brings together partners from American VCs of different profiles and interests to discuss the journey of their firms towards committing more funds to investments in European startups. Join us as we dive deep into a discussion of the motivations, challenges and opportunities behind VCs expansion into an old-but-new market. We hope to shed light on the decision making processes as well as reflect on inevitable issues such as cultural differences, maturity levels and different practices in the European versus the American markets.
Finally our panel speakers will share their views on what distinguishes their firms from European VCs and what synergies they seek with established players.
