Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are under enormous pressure to adapt and build their resilience to climate change. Digital technology, when adopted through enabling policies and strong cross-sector partnerships, is uniquely positioned to help LMICs cope with and recover from climate-related hazards or disasters.
During this engaging panel session, we will discuss the role of innovation in strengthening climate adaptation and resilience. We will hear from innovators working directly on this issue, alongside the funders who support their organisations.

According to the International Energy Agency's 2020 report, the energy sector is the largest contributor to global CO2 emissions, accounting for approximately 40% of total emissions worldwide. In order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, we need to reduce CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050, we need to step up our game in transitioning to green energy and reducing our energy consumption to meet decarbonization goals.

This session brings in founders and funders that will share their vision and own experience in leading and supporting projects accelerating the energy transition working in moving away from fossil fuel energy model and reducing energy consumption.
