Edge Computing with 5G | Project 'EURIALE' (University Duisburg-Essen)
01 July: 10:00 - 11:05
PROGRAMME organised by University Duisburg-Essen
10 - 10.30 am - Presentation: 'How-to Edge'
by David Schuster (University Duisburg-Essen)
The presentation "How-to Edge" shows which types of applications can "live" through edge computing in the new 5G cellular standard. We explain what exactly edge computing in combination with 5G is and how our edge cloud platform supports the design and implementation of a large number of novel applications, such as Extended Reality, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.
10.30 - 10.50 am - Presentation: The Project 'EURIALE'
by Marc Hesenius (University Duisburg-Essen)
The objective of "EURIALE" is to optimize the process of emergency situations by the use of failure-free data transmission of real-time image, video and audio information with 5G. As a result, first-aiders, emergency doctors and in-patient medical staff can exchange essential data. This supports the whole emergency chain of action.
10.50 - 11.05 am - Questions & Answers
for the presented edge cloud platform and for the project EURIALE.
with Amelie Haupstock, Marc Hesenius, Willhelm Koop, David Schuster (University Duisburg-Essen)
