Diversity4tech (II): Design for Inclusion

Thu, 3 Mar: 12:30 - 13:05 CET

Agora Stage, Hall 6 - 4YFN

Session Description

Inclusive design looks for solutions that fit everyone. Every design decision should consider the wide range of human abilities enabling individuals to interact and contribute equally without barriers.
Successful companies design for inclusion beginning with strategy planning, and continue down through management and operations.

Designing with accessibility and inclusivity in mind, meets the needs of all communities, from physical access to a building, to providing the resources necessary for the digital world.  An inclusive design approach will increase the participation of minorities and raise awareness among company employees, business partners, and the entire industrial ecosystem. From a business perspective, the products/services that benefit the majority of people will have the greatest potential to be unleashed in the marketplace, as we are all different with different needs anyway.
