Session Description
What does a future-forward automotive ecosystem look like, and how can distributed edge computing get us there?
The technological and financial opportunities for the automotive sector are immense, but they cannot be realized without significant network build-out. In fact, according to industry estimates, the mature connected vehicle services ecosystem will transfer up to 10 billion gigabytes of data to the cloud each month --1,000 times more than networks can handle today.
And the automotive sector isn't alone in needing a more advanced infrastructure. For improvements to occur across the board -- from the healthcare sector to manufacturing, gaming, and beyond -- the network needs to evolve and expand.
But who will contribute to making network investments? What standards must be in place? What needs to happen next?
Join us for a discussion with representatives from GSMA, Toyota, KDDI, and Nexar around the state of the connected vehicle services ecosystem, the importance of uniting collaborators across industries to build out the network, and actionable steps to make a more connected future a reality.
