Session Description

Learning virtually has been around for years, mainly for enterprises but with the confining of workforces and schools to stay at home, the pandemic exposed the massive digital divide and accelerated the urgency for solutions. Education and training suddenly needed to transform to become 100% virtual and improve its quality and quantity of its offerings. The deployment of 5G has of course has had a hand in redefining this, creating more flexible learning environments, access to more content and allowing the use of immersive technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality in the classroom. Teachers can interact and collaborate in new and innovative ways with students from all over the world, so long as they have access to the internet. Here, advancements in educational software and technology won’t have global reach until 5G is rolled out to the hardest to reach populations.
