5G: Connecting Virtual & Reality

Tue, 1 Mar: 16:15 - 17:15 CET

MWC Stage A, Hall 5

Session Description

Demand for virtual reality (VR) is growing. Mordor Intelligence predicts that between 2020 and 2026 VR will increase in value from $17.25 billion to around $184.66 billion. That growth is massive and ultimately made possible by the improved data streaming, reduced latency, and increased reliability of 5G, making VR more accessible to consumers and businesses than ever before. In a post pandemic world, Virtual Reality environments can provide new ways for employees and customers to connect, collaboration and interact. These tools can pave the way for new levels of innovation, without the issue of wasted resources and expense, and can help organisations create a new normal in their business environments. We are yet to see the full potential of VR and AR, but it is certain the 5G in the key to unlocking what is possible.
